Default BSNL 900 Combo plan speed

    hi,

I opted for BSNL 900 Combo plan (2 weeks ago) which has speed of 4mbps till 8GB and later on 256kbps.

Speed on speednet is just around 1.5mbps (same as my old plan of 2mbps) and actual data download speed is around 100kb/sec.

What to do now to get proper speed??

    Thanks, shall follow in bsnl

    Hi,

SDE also does not know that 4mbps plan has been launched. He promised to look in to matter.

I have BELKIN modem-router. Whether BSNL can plae that your modem (and BSNL) is at fault for not getting speed?

Depends on the personnel, some are honest and a few others like finding excuses.

Download any file from Microsoft and check the speed. It will give an exact idea.

    Post for checking your speed

if you want to check your speed correctly just rely on either microsoft's speed checking website or by downloading any file you will have maximum number of speed(suppose 333kbps or more or less) just take into consideration and then download another file after finishing first file's downloading then you will get you accurate speed in your mind

I recently got BB+LL Home ULD 900 Combo for my Chennai home. Right from the beginning, the speed test results were showing 1.7 Mbps for download speed as against 4 Mbps promised for the plan for the first 8 GB. After visiting this thread, I lodged complaint online [1504]. Today, two BSNL staffers called, and presto, now, the speed is 3.44 Mbps! Thanks a lot, India Broadband Forum. Here are the screen shots of the speed test results:
