Default Creating 2 PVCs for BSNL router AN1020-21

    Bonjour Fellas!

I just bought a new router from BSNL. Which is also known as BSNL Type - II modem. Model name: AN1020-21

The guy from BSNL who came to my home created PPPOE based PVC under Internet Connection of the Configuration section in router settings.

His settings was exactly as written in the manual:
He deleted all factory setting's PVC.
    Created PPPOE based PVC
    with VPI - 0 and VCI - 35
He stored my username and password into the router settings.
By which my BSNL router was connected with the internet 24/7. Mostly I use Linux (ubuntu) and I have night unlimited plan. So, I was actually kinda interested of having settings which allowed me to connect with the internet with PPPOE dialler within the Operating System.

So, I deleted that PVC and created new bridging based PVC with same combination of VPI and VCI. But, It was no longer usable because I wasn't able to connect through my cell or PSP and use the internet.

So finally I have the same settings which were before. (PPPOE based PVC)

    My problem is:
I need to have both PVCs.
    1) PPPOE based PVC for my gadgets. (WLAN)
    2) Bridging based PVC for my physical connection (Desktops).

BUT, PROBLEM is VPI and VCI combinations.. I have assigned 0 and 35 to PPPOE - PVC.. Same is not allowed for any other PVC... Do you guys know how can I keep them both?

    Thank You.

    (A)
Not possible in a single 3 -in -1. adsl modem+lanports+wifi router.
    (RJ11 input)
    (B)
An adsl modem and a wifi router 2 separate units may be needed.
    (C)
Use another cheaper adsl modem in" BRIDGING"mode , and try connecting Rj45 to LAN1 of wifi modem/router
Lan2 to desktop. Check wifi mode works or not. after log in.

    (D)
see link below "teracom" as ref for your model.

    (E)
    I have night unlimited plan
Please check in your usage portal whether data metering is split at 0200AM and 0800AM . Mine http://data/bsnl/in automatically splits readings , even if system/modem on earlier.
Some selfcare portals list DAY usage and Night usage separately for all plans ( limited /unlimited?? )

    Your E option shows relief!!

Did you mean that even if I'm connected to the internet before 0200 hours.. My night unlimited usage will automatically start exactly at 0200 and I don't have to redial / relogin to the internet for that?

Let me try whether this works or not! If this really works then I don't need bridging based PVC. Sure I can check my usage on site regularly also I could use some scripts for keeping records on data usage.

Thanks for your kind reply.. I'll be back with my reports from myside, soon.

I found another thing very confusing:

Whenever I set WEP Authentication mode to "Direct Key" instead of "Pass Phase" and set the 64 bit Authentication key (10 Digit Long), it will work fine..
But as soon as I'm turning off my computer and so the router too, next time when I'll start the computer and check the router settings, it will be back to "Pass Phase", not the settings which I saved..

Any solution? or Am I doing it something wrong?
