Congrats.
Option 1:
In this router You might have selected PPPoE and entered your user name and PW in the menu pages.
This , i normally report as PPPoE "Always On " connection.
Option2:
If you select 1483 bridged, ( or Bridged")in WAN setting you need not enter ID/PW in the router.
To connect you enter in a window of the system.
This I like to name as "Dialer" "Bridged: mode.
Basically both are PPPoE.
All modems with Factory settings come default "bridged" mode
So when you use a dialer you may be connected to Internet.
( Router selects the correct virtual circuit ).If not usual procedures.
] rep 24+ for initiatiive &successful setup
Para two:
One last question now, how do i setup a wireless connection now with this?
WIFI settings.
Dont make any changes . Use the default SSID ( which should appear
in the Network page of computer )
use the key whatever is entered in wifi page. of router
EXAMPLE: similar model with 4 SSID options.
http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...w-binatone.jpg
In thismodel: has option for SSID only two entries.
One is default as above ( reported cannot be changed also )
You have to select SSID Key 1 Name it say ggigw1986
try without any security key.
If Ok try wPA-TSK security key.
if some problem try the Default ssid.
Feedback. ( (if needed screen shot can be posted . may be seen in AIRTEL forum threads SSID Mngmnr or something )
