Default BSNL Conecting for only 1-2 minutes

I am having Windows XP PRO S2 with a BSNL BROADBAND connection.
It was working fine. But last week a problem came,While browsing the site
a command window flash for a second after that i couldn't browse any page,
even though the network light blinks. eventhough i tried to open any site it shows THE PAGE CON'T DISPLAYED ERROR. In order to browse again i have to restart the system again and then connect. After a minute it will come again

I thought it were some Virus attack, so i formated the machine, and Installed
XP pro s2 again. But the same problem exists. Eventhough i didn't opened the browser the same problem come within one minute as and when i connect to net.

Please help me out to solve this.
Please send a solution to raromal@yahoo.com or kannan_kpkollam@yahoo.com

I dont think pirated XP has anything to do with it. I mean come on, more than 90% of MS users in India would have pirated XP/Vista (the genuine ones are only with corporates and someone who's bough an OEM PC) ... hehe

Coming back to the topic, I think it is definitely either of the 2 following things:

1). Your Modem settings have somehow (dont ask me how) messed up... Try resetting your modem. Please keep in mind that you might have to setup your modem again. So contact your local BSNL office if you're not confident.

2). You may have some sort of virus/XP exploit working over here. Although you may have formatted your XP installation partition, you might have the virus on some other partition/HDD on your PC. I'd recommend running a good Anti-Virus program scan on your PC before formatting your entire HDD.

    P.S. - Don't use Norton Antivirus / McAfee (try Nod32 or AVG)

    Hope it helps

Default check ur cable and splitter !!!

check the attenution and SNR values in your modem....if they are abnormal then cable is to be replaced ..first check your splitter ..
disconnect phone and chek modem data and after....
90 % the case is of a old cable..
