Thread: How to surf the web via wifi?

Hi frndz,

I have a Nokia Siemens Networks SL2_141 modem. I am surfing the net smoothly via the lan cable.
My modem also has a wifi device built in it. I have a laptop(Windows 7) which has a inbuild wifi adapter.I want to use this facility anywhere within my house. Now please tell me the steps how to connect to the internet via the wifi i.e what are the steps to setup a wireless network within my home so i can connect my laptop to the internet anywhere in my house.

Simply log in to the modem (type 192.168.1.1 in your browser and enter ID and password as admin), in the LHS menu, select " Wireless ", enable it. Also go to wireless security and choose an encryption (WPA2 will be fine) and set password. Now follow this guide
