Default Windows 7 - bsnl modem

im using BSNL WIFI modem .... all the configurations are done and it worked very well in the BSNL office ... but when i went home and tried to connect it says " not able to connect" even when the signal is captured.

can anyone tell a step by step guide to reconfigure the modem and also the settings in the windows 7 to make it compatible to BSNL modem

All i know is it is ADSL TYPE II modem ...

The signal strength is full ... when i try and connect it asks for the password and when i give... it says ... "sorry unable to connect" almost instantly

when i connect thru LAN ... it says ... error 651 ..... and asking to redial ...

is there any step by step procedure to reconfigure the modem and settings in windows 7 ?

already followed many but resulted in vain ...

In BSNL office, did you enter USERID/PW to connect.?
or system connected automatically ( PPPoE mode )
( your ID/PW stored in modem.)
    (A)
Restart the system and report you are not connected to Internet
    automatically.
    (B)
when trying WIFI connection asking for security key ?

    mention modem/router model/number.

The wireless network SSID should be Yours !!!
and not somebody's else. in my case KK is mine
Utstar I don't know security key and cannot connect.

Do not click connect in ethernet connection.
You can connect the Lan RJ45 cable also ( No harm )

The wifi icon same as mine ?

    disconnected wireless;
did not select connect in ethernet above.
    connected automatically

Confirm you have not attempted any changes in the modem/router.
    (1)

you don't get the screen shot I posted etc.?
with lan cable connected disconnect wireless.
    In TASKBAR when ICON changes
    same step.
or click second option.'open network and sharing center"
when page opens see Lan connection.
click and see the context menu items .

do you know how to post Ipconfig /all data ?

Presume you changed the ID and password to your values. At BSNL, they might have tried with their ID and password which will not work at your place. Log in to the modem in the VPI/VCI 0/35 entry, click " edit " and enter your ID and password in the option provided.

If you are in PPPoE (Always ON ) mode, your modem will dial automatically when you switch it ON and your LAN will detect internet.
