Thread: BSNL Boradband change to Wireless

Dear all,

I am from chennai and currently using BSNL broad band connection with land line phone attached. I am pretty happy with the speed.

Is it possible to change it into wireless connection, since i am messed with the cable connection for landline in the flat. My requirement is that it should be wireless so that i can move my desktop anywhere in the house.

Internet connection is my basic need, land line is secondary

Please advise. I am newbie to this.

Try BSNL EvDO. It comes unlimited for Rs. 750. Speed is also good.

Alternatively you can use add a WiFi adapter to your desktop and make your desktop mobile. A USB WiFi adapter costs around Rs. 900. To use it you need either a WiFi modem or buy a WiFi router which works fine with your current non WiFi modem. You can get a WiFi modem from BSNL for Rs. 80 per month rent or Rs. 1,800 outright purchase.
