    Angry BSNL UL 750 - Some Sites are Not Loading

    Hi,

    I got a new BSNL broadband connection last week. I am using Type 2 Utstarcom wa3002 router with my connection. The problem that I am facing is, I cant open or access certain sites like microsoft.com, mail.yahoo.com ,icicibank.com, thepiratebay.com etc.. Rest all sites like google,this site etc open normally.

    What I did to overcome the problem

    1).Tried OpenDNS, 4.2.2.2 and all DNS available from BSNL
    2). Change the MTU setting to 1492 from 1500
    3).Disabling the firewall of the router.

    But still, there seems to be no change in the problem

    Please Help me

    Till you find a solution, you can try Opera Turbo. It will open those sites for you.

    Dear Mr. Kumar
    U have not mentioned what browser u are using. Try Firefox 3.6. I have been using BSNL Combo 600 (2.5 GB usage) wireline for over 4 years with a Huwaei router/modem. The average download speed is over 800kbps. It is the best in Lucknow. I get a bill of only Rs662 every month, free calls and no rentals.

    Can you check again with Old modem ? mention make/model/number .

    Present version of FF is 5.0 (and Aurora 6.0a2 under trial . I am using it now version : 28th June 2011)

    Try this test;
    http://help.expedient.com/broadband/mtu_ping_test.shtml

    {The Windows built-in PPPoE client has a default MTU of 1480}.
