Check this in WAN page and confirm status for PVC2 vpi 0 and vci 35 for bsnl.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...i-pvc-list.jpg

or post as screen shot connection status for PVC 2 VPI 0 and VCI 35 bsnl.
Read other posts/see screenshots(post No 12 ) in this thread and check your settings. ( all correct settings )
ADSL status should show connected :
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/attach...m-bsnl-net.jpg
Firmware upgrade not to be tried now.

check this link for screen shots etc

Is your ADSL status 'PPP up'? If everything is proper it will be 'Connected'.

Please try the different settings as mentioned in the previous messages first.
I solved my issue by changing the firmware.
I will suggest that as the final solution only.

(1)Leave service name Blank. enter ID with @ bsnl.in
    (2)
If you are on PPPoE mode change to 1483 bridged and try.
    (3)
What is seen against ADSL ( in the end ) in status page.
    same ID/PW failure ?

    (4)
Diagnostics for PVC2 ? any failure ?vpi 0 vci 35

Thumbs up successful configured Binatone DT845W for BSNL

successfully configured Binatone DT845W for BSNL

all you need to do is to downgrade your existing firmware to A1.002

search google for this keyword i.e DT4W-A1.002
open first link and download firmware

check this link for firmware download, remember to change your router password to its default password i.e 'password' in case you have changed the same

do ask in case you have any queries

You should be connected in PPPoE mode.

Check in laptop ANY ssid appears ? AIRTEl/MNGMT etc

(Post Firmware version which appears on top of Status page.)

If Unit from Airtel, probably ssid Mgnmt etc configured.

    open wireless page
Check the security key 0987654321 or similar and try to surf.

If not see the details in this thread
    or my sig link Beetel450TCI.

Feedback. +ve or negative . both welcome.

    Congrats:
If you want: if another ssid is available you can create your own.
Do not attempt to change the present Airtel SSID.
Check other wifi links appearing in your laptop.
    ( for similar name )
Check for unusual downloads in your connection.
Then this SSID has to be blocked.
Remote possibility, some one knows and uses the same security key in your locality!
I cannot acccess your wifi network!!

Finally am able to configure my binatone DT845W modem for BSNL.

Solution. Downgraded my firmware version to DT4W-A1.002
    (it was DT4W-4.007)

I upgraded it first to DT4W-5.00, which I got from airtel site. But didnt work. Later I downgraded to the said version.

I will post the screen shots of all options later on.

Thanks everyone for the help. thanks essbebe
Thank you so much for posting this reply here. I was just about ready to throw the Binatone Router out the window. This was a huge help and it worked.

Only funny thing is it seems to go back to its previous behaviour once I turn it off and on again. So I've updated the firmware a bunch of times even though it still shows as V1.002. So I have basically left it on all the time and not shut it down in a while.

    Deactivate ACL and cwmp options.
    Deactivate all PVC's except PVC2 for BSNL vpi/vci 0 and 35
    Reboot from current settings.
Wait for the slide to show re booting.
    Try again.
    feedback.
( I am using similar model 110TCI less wifi diffferent FW)

    Hi,

I am also having the same problem. FW version is DT4W-A1.002

I deactivated all PVC except PVC2. Internet is working fine in Bridge mode using the dialer method in Windows. I plan to use it for a laptop and I think it has to be changed to PPPoE mode to use the wireless. Laptop connects to the network but there is no internet connectivity. PVC2 status shows as PPP Password Invalid. Attached a screenshot of the PVCs summary

    Please help. Thanks in advance.

Internet is working fine in Bridge mode using the dialer method in Windows

Please uncheck 1483 bridged and try PPPoE mode.
    ( enter store userid/pw in the Interface/Internet page )

Appears you have not activated PVC2.

    see my post No 42.

    Feedback.

For wifi mode try Default ssid1 and (wep)security key.
