    Default How to check if modem is faulty ??

    I am getting frequent disconnections problem with both Beetel 220 bx and Beetel 110TC1.

    Today, I borrowed my friends modem (ZXDSL 831AII), it's working fine from last 2 hours.

    Why do my modems go bad ??...Is there any way to check modem ??

    Reading with bsnl modem

    Local SNRMargin 16.5 dB
    Local Line Attn 46.0 dB

    Remote Line Attn 28.5 dB
    Remote SNRMargin 23 dB

    Downstream Upstream

    SNR Margin : 16.5 23.0 db

    Line Attenuation: 54.5 29.5 db

    Data Rate: 2048 512 kbps

    Attainable Rate 3808 1124 kbps

    Attenaution is a bit high. Make sure your line is not faulty (without joints and non insulated parts). You can also take the modem to exchange and ask them to check there.

    Please delete BSNL modem data. ( scrolling is tiring and not many can interpret this item by item. we need usually only SNR and ATTN figures.
    Post comparison data SNR ATTN details for all three modems.
    Select GDMT.

    There is no noise in the dial tone...

    Delete extra data........done
    Readings from Beetel 110TC1

    --> Reading from both modem with GDMT mode....Other mode not working..
