Thread: BSNL doesn't Calculate the bill properly

Hello!
I am using BBG250 plan in BSNL postpaid Broadband service.

BSNL is charging 250 + the data usage....instead of only 250 as described in BBG250 plan (1GB free)

For this june month I've used 1.30 GB And my bill came 250(Plan Charges)+260 (for the usage of 1300mb,including 1000mb which was free in plan)=510

From the last three months it is doing like this,
1. April =Rs.8000
2. May =Rs.680
3. June =Rs.510
4. July =Rs.540 till now

In April there was an offer that if activation of Service is before 30th March upto 15 days Unlimited usage will be offered...but not offered though i activated it on 31st March 2011 and also Confirmed to the Authorities....

Please help me if anyone for this big problem of mine...

Please reduce the FONT size to normal.

Your best option is try talking to the accounts officer. Talk to him and show this mistake. Home 250 is not one of the best plans. It is mainly useful for those whose do casual browsing and check mails.

I presume you pay around Rs. 500 per month. For that amount you can get Home Combo 500 (BBG FN Combo 500) and get 1.5 GB day time usage and 175 free calls and above all, no land line rent. You also get night unlimited (2-8 am, you can automate the whole process, no need stay awake).

i know of people who feel only down load is counted and not browsing
please check your activity.
perhaps time to block ads and other unwanted stuff disturbing you.
if you are having habit of watching you-tube, or have video conference, etc
obvious that bills bulge.
First month large bill only shows that you were ignorant of consequences explored the internet.

No Dude I know that Browsing is counted....my main usage is only Music downloads ...Researches on different topics...Emails....Chatting...FACEBOOK.

I was not responding till you reduced the font size.
even now further size reduction possible, like in other posts.

It is the other way round. They have to confirm!!!

What is your usage for March 31st 2011?
Did you get higher speed 2 Mbps for first 14 days in April 2011,
and downloaded heavily?
This will be proof that you should not be charged for first 15 days
In April 2011.

Do you have any ref number from CC your Exchange ?

if your statements can be substantiated. and ask for credit adjustment in future bills..

Even I had the same experience. I had registered for the BB in March but got the connection only in on 30 April. As per the scheme I was eligible for the 15 days unlimited usage @2mbps. But when I received the bill of may it reflected that I was charged for the usage of first 15 days. Incidentally during the same time there was a telephone adalat and i took up this matter along with the other issues with the adalat. I had all the documents as proof. My date of registration and then the webpage where the scheme was displayed. So after a initial resistance the officials in the adalat gave up and it was judged that I should be given the benefits of the scheme. But as I mentioned the bill I recieved in may still reflected that first 15 days of the connection was charged. The billed amount was almost 19000 INR. So I met the account officer and reminded him of the judgement of the adalat. Also, I told him of the scheme. He was very supportive and said that the issue has to be sorted from the Chandigarh server/office. He told that it should have been automatically done by the server. But since that was not the case it has to be done manually. He asked me to write an application to the account officer mentioning all the errors. He also adviced me to deposite at least half of the billed amount to avoid any disconnection. I again confronted that the amount is huge. Moreover once the scheme is implemented in my case the billed amount automatically comes to around 600 INR. He doubted my claim. Then I told him that he can look the details of the BB usage and he will know that the huge billed amount was because of the data usage of first 15 days which shouldn't have been counted by the server at first place. I produced the documents to prove my case. The detailed BB usage was available from the selfcare website. I gave him the application along with the proofs. He assured me that the issue would be sorted out and the same would be reflected in the bill of June. I am still to receive the bill of June. But I think and hope that the matter is resolved. Moreover I am in comfort because of the judgement of the adalat.

If you have all the documental proofs and your case is strong, you can take up the case with the account officer and convince him. Hope this helps.
