Thread: Not getting the full internet speed!

Hello, i am using Bsnl internet via bsnl DNA-A201 be modem. my plan is bsnl unlimited of 750 monthly rental. i'm getting very low download speeds (50-60kbps). i went to the bsnl site and checked my plan and there they say my speed is 512kbps. i just dont understand what's going on! i even tried opening some ports to see if it makes any difference but that didn't work either. what could be the problem? please help! thanks.

download speed is calculated in bytes & connection speed in bits as per convention.8bits=1Byte so 512kbps(kilo bits per second)=512/8=64KBps(kilo bytes per second).

Me too on UL 750. 64 KBps (512 Kbps) is the maximum speed for this plan.

Keep the slider at about 700kbps speed.
If in doubt select default or optimal values.

Check speed here before using the application
