Thread: Connection is slow?

For the past 2-3 days i have noticed that the connection is unbearably slow. Some graphic rich websites take an eternity to open up and when i tried to check the speed by downloading something, i found that the download speed was 5-25kbps (i have a Home UL750 plan) Checked the connection speed on speedtest and it is showing 0.53 Mbps, 0.45 Mbps and 0.48 Mbps. So i am assuming that according to speedtest, there is no problem with my connection. I even checked out with a couple of friends and they too said that their download speed is well below 25kbps. Has anyone else noticed this?

im also having the same issue,i also complained 3 to 4 times after they said their main cable was broken so they told me till 31 it'll b done. hope for the best..

Me too on UL 750. No change in speeds. Me too heard about some planned maintenance. If you friends are also facing, it is definitely something at exchange. Talk to someone knowledgeable at exchange and confirm.

Run some pings/traceroutes to a few servers both in india and outside (us/eu/asia etc).

Check for packet loss or unusually high latency.

For me latency is mostly normal and packet loss *right now* isn't that bad, but latency is probably 10-15ms higher than the best
