    Unhappy help me !! how to port forward?

    i have a bsnl type 2 model teracom t2-b-gawv1.4u10y-bi.
    i was downloading torrent at speeds upto 200 kbps. but when i re-installed windows xp and intsalled u torrent my downloads speed have come down to 50 kbps. when i ran the u torrent set up guide it displays: result - Port is not open but you are still able to download. can someone please help me to forward port so i can get back to 200kbps.

    You need to open the ports first. If still no go, try this

    utorrent > options > preferences > connection > Enable UPnP port mapping, Enable NAT-PMP port mapping.

    If nothing works, switch to bridge mode and check. In bridge mode, all ports are open by default.

    Also if the problem persists, try disable firewall/antivirus and check.

    how do i open port? can u show me step by step. i'm new to all this .

    how do port forward? can you help me step by step, i'm new to this?
    however, i did go to my ip address (portal) and found an option to port forward, then i clicked on add but dont know the next step.

    ok .. i went to the virtual services and logged in. but there is no option to enable Upnp. i clicked on all the options. i'm also using teracom and not siemens. kindly help me fix this problem.

    UpNp : may be: not in your model. FW may be different.

    hey i got to know about some kind of websites which allow knowing your port forward by doing some tests..

    are they safe?

    May be. You can always use port checker tool from portforward.com.

    Utorrent can also be used to see if a specific port is open (not pre assigned ports).
