I have a WRT54G router, I am wondering if I can improve range by somehow connecting a external antenna.
I found iBall Baton has one of this -

Will it connect to my WRT54G?
Thanks,

the connector port in wrt54g usually SMA ) should match the input connection of Iball Baton Omni antenna for 2.4GHz.
Check with local radio mechanic/engineer.

Iball Baton wifi routers have detachable antenna and should match above.
My Netgear wgr614V9 has detachable antenna.

Do you think it will improve the range? The router is in my bedroom and in living room I get very week signal, hoping to improve this without buying an N router.

1. Reposition the Wifi router at a higher height and parallel to the ground( antenna ) rotate for max signals in living room.
( if you can see the antenna from Living room" LIne of sight" will be good. ( you have to keep the door open !! to see it !! if in line )
Wifi signals radiation pattern
Vertical: antenna Figure O
horizontal : ( parallel to ground ) Figure 8 ( max beam 180 degrees
say North South or East/west )
2.
The connector port in router and external antenna cable both may be
SMA type. Do give feedback about cost of antenna used/performance etc.
3. Check in Search box above: wifi antenna boosters
