    Default One DSL two IDs

I have a 2 mbps connection in my office and a 512 kbps connection in my home. I tried to connect with my Office ID from my home connection, after trying several times I succeeded and I used it almost 2 months in my home. But, after I disconnected now I am unable to connect it again.

So my question is how can I run my 2 mbps office connection in my home?

    Thanx in advance.

I have a siemens modem in my office with 2 mbps unlimited connection with a different Phone Number.
And at home I have teracom modem with 512 kbps connection. My connection at home was down due to nonpayment so I tried to connect the office connection and configured the teracom modem (home) and changed the id and password to the office connection. At first it had problem with authentication failure but at sharp 12 at night the internet LED started blinking I was also amazed to see this. I showed my friends and they were also amazed. But my office connection didnt work at that time.

There are two completely different line, Modems and phone numbers connected to same exchange.
    OFFICE:
    BSNL Broadband
    2mbps unlimited
    The modem is siemens (SL2_141)
    Configured to be always on.

    HOME:
    BSNL Broadband
    512kbps unlimited
The modem is terracom (Model No: T2-B-Gawv1.4u10Y-BI)
    Configured to be always on.

I dont enter ID and Password on both of the connections. They are configured to be connected as always on.

    What I did:
    1. I switched off the Office Modem at 5.30
    2. At 10 PM I entered in to my Home Modem configuration window and changed the ID and password with my Office connection.
    3. I tried several times with different settings tried bridged connection and dialed and then tried pppo_0_35.
    4. I did not succeed. There was a authentication failure.
    5. At sharp 12 in the Midnight I was almost frustrated but I saw the Internet LED blinking. My internet was ok.
    6. After two months when the internet connection was necessary for my office I tried to connect with its own ID and Password but it failed with authentication failure.
    7. I had to call the BSNL guys and they took almost one day to resolve the problem.
    8. After that now again I am trying to connect but no success.

    Any help??????

The problem is, in order to avoid misuse (somebody else using your ID on their line) BSNL has introduced port binding. So your ID and password will work only on your telephone no. . If both home and office are near, get an extension of office line to home and you can use your office ID.

There may be loop holes, but may not last. BSNL will plug it as soon as they find them.

You had only one Broadband connection. ( office 2 Mbps)
My connection at home was down due to nonpayment....
What was your tariff plan for office use , for
    2 mbps unlimited ?

    you have two modems.
Both can be set for Officeuserid/PW.
Only one will work at a time.
Probably some problem in telephone Exchange and from your home telephone, you were connected to Broadband. ( with office ID)

Now the phones are LOCKED to two different ID/s and passwords.
( presume you restored your 512 Kbps home BB connection )

    More research:
how the usage was billed ?in which Phone number ?
    office use day time.
home use night time ( free Nu???)
Billing was Ok for both telephones ?

In office I have BBG Combo UL 9000 Plan. The monthly billing is @ Rs 9000.00 per month.
At Home I have BB Home Combo UL 750. The monthly billing is @ Rs 750.00 per month.
The billing was OK for both of the phones when I was using the Office connection at home.
I was using the 2mbps connection at home and it was billed at office.

Question:how can I run my 2 mbps office connection in my home
AnswerNot Possible. Telephone number MUST be SAME .

It it worked earlier, may be due to problem in BSNL exchange. Might have been repaired now.

At Home I have BB Home Combo UL 750.
Have you restored the connection by paying the dues?
Presume you are the owner of Office/business.
    http://www.bsnl.co.in/service/new_BB/BB_COMBO_Unlim.htm
You can have Business connection at Home and select another
U/l plan for Office ( business)
The speed of plan: on trafffic load /need at office.
