Default Connecting only through username and password

I can only connect to the internet by using windows i.e my connection will not start as soon as the modem is switched on. I would have to connect to it like a dial up connection by entering by username and password, This was fine until i recently tried to connect a router but its not working, is there anyway to make my connection normal and i can be able to connect to the internet without using username and password?

Mention your modem - model and make.It seems you are in dialer / Bridge mode. Configure it in PPPoE mode. Net will connect as soon as you switch ON the modem (takes a few seconds to connect to net).

Log in to your modem. From the LHS menu, take WAN or similar page. In this page you can see a 0/35 entry. Click the " edit " button. Now you will find various options. You need to set them according to PPPoE mode.

    For Eg.

    New Page 1

    This may help

confirm you have changed to PPPoE mode from "bridged" mode.
switch off modem/ switch on and confirm connected automatically.
