Thread: utstarcom WA3002-g1 bsnl broad band problem

i am using bsnl broad band with utstarcom WA3002-g1 wireless modem.
i recently purchased sony vaio cr 12 with vista home basic installed.
when i connect my laptop to the modem ,it detects the wireless connection and connect also, still i am not able to connect to the internet .
the network sharing option of vista displays that wireless connection is 'local'.

when i connect the modem to the laptop through the cable , it connects to the internet, also the network sharing option displays that wireless connection is 'local and internet'.

plz help me to connect my laptop wirelessly to internet.

I too am having the same problem with my dell inspiron 1525, below are my wireless settings on the UTstarcom

Authentication : WPK2-PERSONAL
TYPE : AES
shared key matches on the laptop n the wirles modem but i am still stuck with the local connection only in vista.

Anybode has any ideas please?

I am giving you just a glimpse-- just configure your modem to pppoe mode as in this mode you will be able to connect many PC simultaneously upto 254 computers
