Thread: AN1020-21 modem wi-fi not working

Hello,
-By referring to the other posts on this forum, I have configured AN1020-21 modem for my BSNL connection.
-But the problem is that the internet works only when I use the data cable. -The wi-fi still doesn't work.
-Can someone help me make the appropriate wi-fi settings for this modem.

QUICK FIX !

Probably you have not disabled the white list
( which needs MAC address input ) Try without any security key.
Disconnect lan cable when wifi being tried ( except with OS Windows 7)
Confirm you use PPPoE mode Not "bridged"
( former system connects automatically to Internet. No dialer used.

(a). Presume at least the SSID is seen in your laptop.
(b)Mention OS used.
(c)If needed post ipconfig /all for ONLY WLAN connection.
( Please delete all Tunnel data if seen )

Procedure
Start RUN type cmd
OK
New window
type ipconfig /all
Copy/paste data here.

Am using Windows 7

- MAC - whitelist is disabled
- Tried disconnecting LAN cable but not working
- Am using PPPoE mode

- SSID is seen on my laptop
- Using Windows 7
- Will post iconfig/all data in the evening as soon as I reach home

Also check Channel 11 is selected.

The wi-fi is enabled now. Thank you.
The only config missing was channel selection which was in auto mode, i changed it to manual and chose channel 11 which worked perfectly fine.
Now the concern is that its a non-secured wi-fi access because I have removed all encryption. How to solve this problem? How to make it password protected?

One more thing. My two laptops and ipod are catching wi-fi easily and also allowing net access. But my mobile (Nokia E-71) detects the signal but does not connect to internet(error-web gateway not found). Is there a solution for this.
