hi all,
i won't be using BSNL for some months, i was trying to degrade my plan frm 1400 to some lower amount plans through BSNL selfcare portal, in the portal i saw two options BB-SAFE-CUSTODY & BB-SAFE-CUSTODY-WAITLIST what does options mean.

Opt for zero rental plan. No rent, Rs. 1 per MB while you are in this plan.

i don't have an option for that in BSNL selfcare portal (attached image), if i had an option i have choosen that

Give a manual application at exchange. Why pay some amount per month ? Just a visit to the exchange will do things for you.

I'm already away frm my home, so can't apply personally, so trying to understand what is BB-SAFE-CUSTODY & BB-SAFE-CUSTODY-WAITLIST

BBZero plan not seen in main tariff pages. ( discontinued???)
But seen in Udaan plan selector.

To retain BB id/pw ,May be some reduced charges per month to be paid,now, as for Telephone Safe custody.

If you are too busy to visit the exchange, you can try this site for plan change. Since it is mentioned here, I presume it is still available. Ask your parent to make a call to your exchange and confirm. Or you can do it from your place.

Click " Register for New Land Line/Broad Band/ 3G DATA CARD /WIMAX ...etc " and select " Type of lead " as " plan change ". Select plan as " BBG Zero Rental ".

i was trying to put a request through UDAAN PROJECT -- BSNL and i opted BBG Zero Rental and i cliked on "CLIK HERE FOR PLAN DETAILS" , it showed no details available, i think tis plan has being discontinued by BSNL, if i choose any other plan from the drop down menu i can see the details of that plan except for BBG Zero Rental.

hmm, a call to local exchange can clear your doubts. No problem, try other options

Since you have the options in your selfcare portal
access them and try.
BB-SAFE-CUSTODY
Probably the condition may be, that you can use the same ID/PW (as the line can be allotted to some one else.)
for reduced monthly payments:

what does options mean.
You join the wait list to renew BB connection ( may be without any additional charges monthly charges ).
Never heard: BSNL Broadband connection has waiting list!!

Sometimes this may happen . A Pair( cable) as the line man calls it may not be available for the phone or BB connection. in your locality.
This can happen in commercial areas.

Options:
Phone in safe custody ; reduced rental charges
BB : safe custody: not clear

Assume an user has a BB tariff plan : No monthly Telephone rent.
If he wants SAFE custody for his BB connection, BSNL may
insist on a monthly payment ( same or reduced amount ) or same charges applicable for Telephone Safe custody.

BBZero plan deleted from udaan site also. Not available.

Did you read the thread from the beginning?
Are you sure zero rental is still available? ? Please give link.
