    Default bsnl modem problem

    I have bsnl UT200R2U modem..It worked fine for 2 years.
    but now after 10 or 15 minutes usage the connection terminates automatically.and the PC/USB shows RED light.
    I cant connect it again.
    It connects after a day.then again disconects..whats the problem?
    I reset the modem.but nothing happend.

    ..Also my modem is so slow to powerup nowdays.

    check the lan wire, i too had faced the same problm with the same modem, finally i got a new teracom modem (ADSL+wifi) from BSNL for which i paid 1500.

    1. Get a friend's modem, change password and user name, try on your line and check.

    2. Check splitter / ethernet cable. If you have a spare, use it and see.

    3. If you have USB cable (and drivers ) use it and check.

    Default every LED is fine but error 651

    i have win7

    every LED is fine
    but data LED is steady after I reset the modem
    cant connect even with admin ,admin.
    error 651.

    also ping 192.168.1.1 shows no error

    Error 651

    Recheck userId and password entered in WanMiniport dialer.
    Create new network for "PPPoE" Always On connection.
    ( YourBSNl userId/PW stored in wan page of modem)
    RESET the modem ( with power on for about 10 to 30 seconds )
    Factory settings restored.
    Then try 192.168.1.1 admin admin
    IF
    menu pages are not opening
    THEN
    in Computer
    START RUN type cmd
    OK
    New window.
    type ipconfig /all
    check the default for modem.
    then try
    use this link to enter data
    The little I know about Dataone Broadband Services offered by BSNL
    confirm connected to Internet.

    Check your power adapter. could be faulty. ( due to aging
    power celectrolytic capacitor would have become leaky )

    I configured as you said...

    but the same error
    no problem with adapter and modem(i think).

    Then why?

    Copy/Paste data only for LAN connection.
    ( No tunnel data if seen)
    ipconfig /all

    Compose your reply in Notepad and then copy /paste here.

    Para two:

    confirm:

    (a)You can connect using the Dialer ( enter ID/PW in system Dialer window) No errror 651 now
    or
    (b)
    connects automatically ( PPPoE mode ID/PW stored in modem)

    (c)
    From modem/router Deviceinfo/Statistics/ ADSL
    Post screen shot as Jpg attachment here.
    Or extract: Mention mod mode selected. ADSL2+ GDMT etc.
    SNR Margin (dB): 28.1 28.4
    Attenuation (dB): 19.0 10.0
    Output Power (dBm): 11.9 0.0
    Attainable Rate (Kbps): 22732 876
    Rate (Kbps): 2042 507
    (d)
    copy/paste ipconfig /all data
    ONLY LAN ( No tunnel data)
    In Computer
    START RUN type cmd
    OK
    New window.
    type ipconfig /all
