Thread: Help me to Configure SmartAX MT841

Hell friends,

I am new user to dataone and Windows Vista. I have SmartAX MT841 ADSL Modem provided by BSNL. I can connect to internet without any problem with a desktop pc having windows xp. Now I want to use internet connection on laptop at the same time. I connected the LAN cable to the ADSL Modem and my laptop but can connect to internet with only one computer.

1) Can any one please guid me step by step how to connect two computer to the modem simulteneously to use internet.

2) Also the WLAN light on my modem does not blink. Is there any configuration i have to make in order to make it working.

3) I have wi-fi on my laptop. how do i connect to internet using wi-fi. Is there any other card to be connected to modem in order to use it wireless? (please bear me if this is silly question).

a wifi card is reqd to use wireless laptop. same probkem here and am looking for a card for MT841 modem. will let u know on further
