Thread: Need help in configuring BSNL BB with BINATONE DT845W.

Hi Essbebe,

Recently my brother has given me a BINATONE DT845W Modem+Wifi+Router(he used Airtel BB for somtime). When I have a look at device's options, i thought it would take months to understand all these. But it looks quite simple to understand.

Kindly i need help very badly on connecting BSNL BB connection with BINATONE DT845W device.

After going through all the options and considering views or screen shots on the post, I got few points but cant keep in order and im still in confusion 4rm where to start it.

I am really blank and out of ideas. I have only BSNL Username n Password with me. Guide me on 'do n do nots' In configuring BSNL with BINATONE??

Tech details or my scenario:

Using DELL Laptop--windows 7 hom premium
Using Desktop with windows xp sp3.

I wish to use laptop via WiFi and cable(RJ45) for desktop BY BINATONE DT845W.

when i tried to connect wifi box 4rm laptop its showing device name or SSID name in network list but im unable to connect and facing error "Windows unable to connect to Airtel."(as SSID name is 'Airtel'.).

BINATONE DT845W ADSL Firmware Version:
FwVer:3.11.2.175_TC3086 HwVer:T14.F7_5.0

confirm.

If you had RESET to Factory settings
you may get connected when you enter your BSNLId/PW in a Dialer window in your system.
try and give feedback.

Essbebe, As I said i had reset to Factory settings. By tomo noon time i ll get id n password, actually i tried with my friends BSNL BB connection, but device is not responding. Anywys as u suggested i ll try to connect with jus entering username n passwrd n ll confirm d status to u..

what about wifi?cant i connect to DT845W with WiFi rather than in LAd mode???,,even im plannin to buy IPAD so tat i can brows via Wifi...

even i want to use WiFi with my mobile Nokia N95..

UPDATE:Screen shot Ok Noted FW version on top. 90% OK !
when you enterid/pw in VCO2 all columns will fillup.
This data will also appear for VCO0 to 7 !! ( ignore)
Check Diagnostics page.

Post wifi page. to check settings.

You have to connect your unit in your Friend's broadband connection
( telephone line ) and set up in PPPoE mode with his ID and PW and test
LAN mode.
Enable DHCP in router.
For wifi , fo r the present use AIRTEL SSID and security code.
laptop and phone will work.

Then when you get your connection just change userid/PW ONLY.

Jus read ur reply, as you suggested i have posted wifi page in pdf format. Moreova searched almost 1hr for enabling DHCP in router(DT845W) but i dint find the option..

In wifi page, i had changed SSID name (by default it was Airtel, i changed it to Malve(ma surname)...tats it.

Just waiting for ma username n password from BSNL customer care. They i may get by noon time...

For your information i hav pasted 3 pages in pdf format.

1) Interface Setup - Internet Page---Deactivated all PVC0 to 7 except PVC2 becoz PVC2's VPI is 0 VCI is 35.
2) Interface Setup - wireless---In this page i had changed SSID name.
3) access management- cwmp page---In this page i have deactivated the option.

tell me if there are any changes to do.

(1)In Internet page enter Bsnl ID and PW (obvious!) PW default password.

(2) wif page ; Delete Airtel IP from radius set up etc .

(3) OK.

DHCP:

enabling DHCP in router(DT845W) but i dint find the option..

If your OS is windows 7 Lan cableRj45 can be kept connected.

Hi guys,
i tried configuring the Dt845w to bsnl bb. but no luck the ppp link is showing up but in my desktop i am not able to access. as per this thread i tried downgrading the firmware version (current version in my router is A005) to A002 i downloaded the firware from the link provided in this thread. i tried to upload firm ware software in various methods but it failed evry time. i tried from upgradation tool as well as from modem.

can any body help me please its bit urgent...

RESET the modem/router to Factory settings
( Access point should be seeen in rear.
press with Ball pen refill for 10 seconds with power on

2.
If using Dialer try to connect entering USERID/PW in system window.

3. If unsuccessful
acccess modem menu:
type 192.168.1.1 id admin PW admin ( or passsword)
Select PVC2 VPI/VCI should be 0 and 35
Deactivate all other PVC's

Reboot from Current system settings.

Post as screen shot Status device Info showing PVC2.
Try only LAN.

Binatone modem set up in "bridged"mode OK.
Tried wifi mode? lan cable can be kept connected.

will follow this up. How many systems in use ?
May need a separate standalone wifi router.
Like NetgearWGR614V9 etc . can you get one from friends ?

Para two:

Appears you have Windows 7 as OS.
Download application connectifyand install in laptop
where Reliance Lan cable is connected.
This laptop will work as an AP. in limited range.

hi ya i have this is in bridged mode , when i selected the ppoe mode then only its asking password and user name. i tried that also by giving user id@bsnl.in and password.

i have oly one laptop connected through LAN wire.

ya i have windows 7 os.. what software i have to download can u give me the link..
