Thread: Bsnl & Voip

I have been sucessfully using BSNL broadband & VOIP (Phone supplied by my employer) for over 3 years now. All of a sudden since yesterday when ever I connect my VOIP phone the ADSL link goes off and If I remove the Phone connection the Brodrad ADSL link comes alive. I tried disconnecting all cables, resetting the modem etc with out luck. I am using MT841 modem in PPPOE mode. This is the first time I am having an issue with the connection. Any help would be greately appreciated.

Hi Greatekata, no the other person doesnot require the Internet Connection, can call any number depends upon the service. In my case the IP phone is supplied by my Employer (MITEL IP PHONE 5020), can call any number in the word. - Ramana

Hi Raman, my name is Samit. My company keeps in contact with people in Belgium,Netherlands,Brazil,United States. Now we want to reduce communication expenses (Our call frequency will only increase). I heard VOIP is a cost effective solution. However I don't have any idea of how much would the costs work out. Can you guide me or provide me references for the answer.

I'm kinda green ( read New) to VOIP so pardon my ignorance.
