Default security of multi user WLAN(open wifi)

    Hi,
I'm a very new member,so please excuse my ignorance. I was using a security enabled wireless network to connect to internet with BSNL broadband Nokia Siemens SL2_141 modem till last week. There after,I got multiuser configuration done in order to connect my mobile & tablet pc. They are working fine but I'm little concerned about my data/transaction security as I've changed over from a WPA-PSK(requiring log-in) to an open network(always on) which directly connects to the net. Is there a way to secure such home wireless networks. Please enlighten me.
    Regards & thanks.

    1. You can still use WPA2 (most secure) even with multi user configuration. Post screens shot of your WiFi setting page. We can help you fix errors / suggest settings. If you remember how you did last time, simply repeat it.

    2. Add MAC filter. Go to the DHCP page (while all your devices are connected) and you can find their MAC address. Simply add a MAC Whitelist and add these IDs. By this way, you are secured even if somebody hacks your password.

Hope I addressed your concerns. If in doubt, feel free to ask.
