Default BSNL MODEM INET LED GOES OFF 7 to 8 TIMES A DAY ( i have PPPoE)

    Hello Friends,

I have a BSNL UL1350 plan and i'm using BSNL provided ADSL2 modem (ITI DNA-A211-I)

for some days, i'm observing that atleast 7 to 8 times in a day, the "INET" LED goes off ,and until it comes back, i can't browse or my VPN says "resetting connection".

do you think that it could happen because of the modem get's too heated or any other modem issue ? since BSNL modem in general has average bad reputation.

i called BSNL, and they told me to change my WAN setting from PPPoE to Bridging, so that i have to give password every time it gets disconnected and i should get some error message when it doesn't work and they can debug the issue.

however, i have enabled "Enable PPP Debug mode" option as i was not able to configure the bridging properly, all bridging service is disabled and i only have one PPPoE service enabled with AUTO authentication.

    1. if any of you have faced similar issue and know a solution to it already, please advice
    2. please let me know how to i enable Bridging service and not PPPoE

    Regards-

    Uncheck Box PPPoE
    select "Bridged"

SAVE REBOOT wait for two minutes.

Check Device Info Statistics ADSL data.
report SNR ATTN data for D/L and U/L
