    1. Tried GDMT ?

    2. Check using another modem and confirm.

    3. If still in trouble, complain here

    http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp

    4. Try talking to the SDE of your exchange.

    5. If nothing works, write to Nodal officer and / or Appellate authority. ID, address and phone no. on the backside of your bill. Call them and seek help.

Log into the modem, browse through the pages, you will find (mostly in DSL settings) and option to check and uncheck a box near to GDMT. Give it a try.

No problem in trying. But disconnection is not normally a DNS issue. Located GDMT option in modem ?

Post the screen shot of your modem menu. Will try to locate. I use a different modem and I can see it under DSL settings. I am sure Teracom too has it. Make sure you browse through all pages. It is a bit tedious but I have seen people get considerable improvement after that. Also saves tedious effort to deal with the customer care. If you cannot find, request someone from exchange to come to your home and make them do it.

Also disable ADSL/ ADSL2+ and check (in the same page).
