Thread: BSNL Broadband 500C speed problem

For 1 months while downloading with utorrent i am getting speed 50-90kB/s.Sometimes it reaches 190kB/s.But most of the time i am getting the slow speed.I need help please

1. SNR is too low and Attenuation is too high. Talk to the line man, ask him to give a clean line without joints, non insulated / non oxidised parts etc. Better deal it at the line man level. Get the lines changed and see the difference. If still no change, post the new SNR and attenuation values here.

2. Try port forwarding. Mention modem - model and make. You will find guides at portforward.com for your modem. Check the list of router available there.

3. Switch to bridge mode and check.

4. Disable antivirus / firewall and check.

5. What is the speed you get on direct downloads ?

What can portforwarding can do if the torrent you want to download has no seeds?
