    Default Suggest wifi

    hi folks,
    i have a dlink glb-502t modem. now i want to make a wireless connection to connect both my pc and lappy at the same time. can anyone suggest a good wifi model, or anything similar. also the cost.

    @essbebe most of the threads dealt with configuration/trouble shooting. i want some suggestions regarding what to buy.

    thanks for the link. the 2 computers will be in the same room, so distance is not a priority. also since i already got a modem, a simple wifi router will be suffice.

    but yes i need lan ports for my pc. wifi for lappy.

    thx essbebe. i got myself a netgear wgr614. costed 1350 + tax.

    during set up it asked for the pin (availabe at the back of the router) and provided me with a password. is that enough, or i need do more.

    also i could get signals from other networks too (though very poor in quality). i assume those guys are also getting the signal from my side. what are the chances of me getting hacked

    congrats.
    If you have used security key no problem.
    Anyway change it once a month.
    ADD your system MAC address to white list in wifi router.

    Chances of hacking great if you are employed in CIA/KGB/RAW/ISI or a secret agent /politician /filmstar etc !!
