Default UT300r2u modem restart need really experienced members advice plzzzzz

Guys..I am having severe problems with my modem for the last 1 week..

    Here is the problem..

My modem continuously restarts every 1 min of internet use..Some times it is stable for about 1hr, But then goes off and never comes back till next day..Luckily it is active now..like a suicide bomber waiting to explode

Telephone is working perfectly for last 1 week, No disturbances..I have read just4kix's or whatever his name is guide on snr values and SNR values seem to be excellent.

Modem does NOT restart when ethernet cable is not connected to pc. Even internet light is on when the modem is in no way connected to pc.

Once i connect the modem and PC using the ethernet cable, BAM the modem restarts in the blink of an eye and doesn't seem to be stable again unless i remove the ethernet cable..

The bsnl guy who came to my house told me to take the modem to the exchange and said they will reset the modem..I have already tried resetting the modem but it has not helped at all.

Is the problem with my modem itself or is there some problem with tele line?? here is a screenshot of my SNR values..for some reason i can't post imageshack urls because i have low post count..i will upload an attachment

It couldn't be anything to do with the fact i over use the modem..could it? I dl'ed more than 20 gb last month...I'm on UL plan 750..

    Please guys help!!!

Thank you. Nice respect given to members in first post itself !!!

    Enable Bitswap
    Uncheck BoxADSL2+
    ( Advanced options DSL)
    EnterDNS use 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220
    SAVE
Management SAVE Reboot wait for 2 minutes.
Change to PPPoE ( always On ) mode. ( ID/PW stored in modem )
    Recheck snr/attn etc.

    1. Which mode do you use ? PPPoE or Bridge ? Switch to other and check.

    2. Did you check the ethernet cable ? It can happen if it is faulty. Get a spare cable (say from a friend) and check in your set up. If you are lucky, the problem could be in the ethernet cable and easy to get a replacement (on your own or from BSNL).

    3. Use a spare modem ( easy way is to borrow from a friend) and check. You can confirm it is a modem fault or line fault.

    4. In some cases, malware infection can cause disconnection. Try your modem at your friend's place and check.

    5. Or simply complain here and wait till BSNL deals with it

bebe.how to permanently turn on PPoE

    @meetdilip

hi, I use PPoE..I think problem is with ethernet cable/modem itself..But am not sure..The dsl and internet lights are very stable whenever i remove the ethernet cable..

Once i connect the ethernet cable to the modem ..the modem acts very unpredictable and once it starts the restarting cycle..it's a never ending process unless i remove the ethernet cable from modem manually before plugging it back in once internet light becomes stable..

I dont think problem is with malware tho..i use mcaffee and malware bytes so am pretty sure pc is free from any malware..i will try to get another modem and test it at my home..thats a great idea..thx.that will definitely help me with prblm..

i complained to bsnl already..the guy who came over to my house said that there was no problem with the line and the prblm most likely exists with modem..anyway..i will try a diff modem tmrw and post the results here..hopefully i won't need to get a new modem..

thanks for helping out guys..i will be back tmrw if i can get back on the internet..Thanks so much for helping out..really appreciated..

    Hey guys..Just an update..

This problem is because of the modem itself..All u need to do if u have this problem is to remove the ethernet cable and let the dsl and internet lights stabilize..Once they are stable ,plug the ethernet cable back in and your internet will be working great again..
