Do you use WiFi ? Always mention your location and modem's model and make.
1. Use your BSNL usage portal. It has many drawbacks like does not get updated on real time, may time for the usage to appear, may be down for days during beginning of month etc. But what shows there is the final value. That is used for billing.
2. You can use a bandwidth meter as back up. You get one free from Networx or Shaplus. If you have more than one system, install on all of them and calculate the total.
3. Hope you know that you need to reboot your modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am. So portals make automatic break up of usage at 2.00 am and 8.00 am, observe your portal and if it happens, no need to do them manually. You can also search the forum for " NU Schedulers " to make your life easy.
thank u very much.....
but i have a question,
as u mentioned above that i need to reboot my modem, if i will not reboot my modem then, will i not get my unlimited data from 2:00 to 8:00.
thanks
To get night unlimited, your start and end time should fall between 2.00 am and 8.00 am. Suppose you start your connection at 10.00 am, keep it idle till 2.00 am then use, your session time will show 10.00 PM to 8.00 AM and you will be charged. As I mentioned, some portals (not all) record the usage after breaking it at 2.00 AM and 8.00 AM. To be safe, for one month reboot manually at say 2.05 am and 7.55 am (don't believe BSNL clock, better give 2.10 AM and 7.50 AM) and see. You can also end your downloads by 7.30 AM, reboot your modem (simply switch off and ON), and continue light browsing till 8.15 am. Check the portal, if it automatically breaks at 8.00 am no need to reboot further. Hope it is clear now.
thank u very much.........![]()
