Thread: problem related to some of the site unable to open

Thank u for having a look over the thread.
I am facing problem over my home network. Some of the website like flipkart.com is unable to open over my wifi network.

I had tried to correct the problem by changing the DNS server, but it was not fruitful.


I am using Ubuntu 11.04 along with window 7. Is there any solution to this problem.

1. Only on WiFi ? Remove encryption and check. Mention modem - model and make. Do you have MAC filter enabled ? Facing same issue on both Windows 7 and Ubuntu ?

2. You can also try Opera Turbo.

3. Try MTU values 1480, 1490 etc

Seems like on both OS (Ubuntu and Windows 7) you are facing the same issue so it should not be an issue with your OS.

As it is a network problem so first try to change MTU size (as meetdilip suggested) in addition you can try to change MTU to 1400 and 1450 too.

If it doesn't work then can you please try to ping the address which is not opening and post the results here.
