Thread: what d hell is this ?

hello,

i had apply for 600 combo plan with 2Mbps speed, 2.5 GB for day and night unlimited. and yesterday i have got my connection but today i was checking my speed on speedtest.net then i was shocked, it is showing 4.3 Mbps download speed and .77 Mbps upload speed.

what is this ?


is my connection say 2 Mbps or 4 Mbps?

plz help me.........

Is this a new connection or you applied for change of plan?
Give correct name of old tariff plan .
Check in your usage portal details of tariff plan provisioned..

1. Which portal do you use to check usage ? Check the orders page and confirm you current plan.

2. Speed tests can be deceiving at times. Download any file from Microsoft and check your speed. They have the best of the servers and gives an exact idea of the speed.

3. Did you tried torrents ? What is the speed you get ? Try a Linux torrent with good seed to peer ratio using utorrent and update the speed.

4. Do you have Networx installed ? Check its graph while downloading, report the speed here.

this is new connection.

and i am not using any portal. i have got a user ID and password but whenever i log in with this user ID and password then it shows "User authentication failed" .

If this is a new telephone connection and Broadband connection,
you cannot register now in your usage portal with your own choice of ID.
Password will be sent to you by email.
Ask Customer care in which tariff plan you are registered.
Ask them your consumer number to enter in usage portal.

This problem has been addressed a thousand times in one way or the other but here I post again.

Try downloading as file of 30-40MB or more from a good site as softpedia or some ftp with a download manager
The download speed you see will be the closest download speed of your plan.

If you get about 230-240KBps then your speed is 256x8=2Mbps
