Make a call to your local exchange. They have it in their records. Just two minutes business to get it. If you know the phone no. of the broadband section, call them directly. Password is normally password. Also ask your BSNL email ID and password. Here also, password is normally password.

Presume your's is a new connection. If it is a limited bandwidth connection (say 2.5 GB per month) and you got connection not on 1st, you won't get full 2.5GB (or whatever is the limit). Suppose you get the connection on 10 th, your monthly usage limit will be (20/30) * 2.5 GB.

Also if you have a night unlimited plan, make sure that you reset the modem at 2.10 am and 7.50 am to avoid huge bills.

You can also use a bandwidth meter like Networx or Shaplus to keep an eye on your usage.
