    Post increase broadband speed...

    Hi,

I am presently using Rural Home 500 UL Plan. I get a speed of 512 kbps upto 6 GB limit and 256 kbps thereon. But since i am used to 512 kbps somehow 256 appears very slow...so my question is...

    1. Can the speed be increased despite the restriction by BSNL?
    2. If yes then how?
    3. If somehow i manage to increase the speed, will BSNL have issues with it?

I searched a lot of sites...but somehow either i dont find them interesting or they are not practical enough.

    Not possible.
Try it. Since you are on U/L plan should not matter.

No, not unless you hack BSNL server and lift the cap. It is crime by law and can get you a prison term or very heavy fine if caught. It is very easy for BSNL to find and prove that you did that.

    2. If yes then how?

    3. If somehow i manage to increase the speed, will BSNL have issues with it?
They won't allow you to get speed more than offered in a plan.[/COLOR]

Move to UL 750. It gives 512 Kbps unlimited. The best plan for domestic users and the safest work around for you. Or if you do not use net much on day time and intend to download heavily, move to Home Combo 500 or Home Combo 600. They give night unlimited at 2 Mbps.
