Thread: cannot connect to default gate way??? experts pls help.....

    Exclamation cannot connect to default gate way??? experts pls help.....

    i have given the details here.

    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator>ipconfig

    Windows IP Configuration


    Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

    IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0

    also i checked using ping



    C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator>ping 192.168.1.1

    but still default gate way is not opening???

    experts pls help??? (i followed all the steps given in sites which i found in google)

    give details of the modem/number model etc
    presume no connection to Internet.
    confirm.
    Try PPPoE "always On" mode ( enter id/PW in wan pAGE)

    i can connect to the internet. i have to connect manually using user name and password. auto connect have been disabled due to default gateway problem..

    modem details:

    i am using own modem.

    TD-8810 (TP-LINK)

    details of the TCP/IP properties tab from your PC network connection properties.

    ...set to "obtain IP address automatically"?
    ...If so, is DHCP Server enabled on your modem?

    Default TD-8810 (TP-LINK) settings: Manual

    Your modem is similar to Beetel 220BX /wa3002-g4 group.
