    Default A question about online payment?

    Two days before i made an online payment of the bill and the transaction was successful and also i have the online receipt but still it shows the bill pending in the selfcare portal site.So, my question is how much time it will take to get updated in the aforesaid site from the day of payment?
    Generally when we directly pay in the counter it gets updated the same day in the portal.Any one?

    It normally takes 2-3 working days to post the payment in portal if paid online. I am paying my BSNL bills online from last 1 year and it always get updated in the portal in 2-3 days. Also, if you check the left side of the online payment page, you will see a note 'Online payments will get posted in 2-3business days'.

    Direct counter payment has a benefit of instant account update and the reason is - counter payment systems are directly attached to the customer account and need not have to run the reconcile program while in the case of online payment BSNL runs reconcile program overnight and post confirmation from bank transfer id they post it to the individual customers account and this takes 2-3 days.

    I am using ECS and no problem. Get the printed bill copy by post..

    anand already informed about the correct.. don't worry it will be updated within 2-3 days.. & some times when bsnl systems get lazy it takes bit more than that.. for safety you can take print in pdf for the confirmation of your payment..

    Does it get updated automatically(by the system itself) or manually its done?
    I am concerned about it because there were two holidays i.e.saturday and sunday after one day of payment.

    automatically but make sure you press the submit button in the payment confirmation page.
    at the confirmation of payment page you get a submit button. Upon clicking on that button it displays an message some thing like "it takes 2-3 business days to update your payment details & blah blah".

    also it counts the business days not holidays.

    Well, i just talked to the A.O(TRB), he said that it will take a week to get updated.

    A new thing happened today at midnight, in 'My Payments' section of selfcare portal the paid amount was updated but in the 'My Bills' section the outstanding bill is still pending instead of 0.As far as i know the aforesaid sections of the selfcare portal are updated simultaneously or it happens only in this case(online payment).Anyone can pick on that.

    Atlast it got updated today after a week as the A.O(TRB) said.

    i have been using the online payment option which goes through the Billdesk gateway, and haven't faced any issues till date. hopefully it works like that.

    Well now i am facing another problem.The bill has been generated for this month but when i login in the portal for online payment it shows no outstanding bill.
    Why? Anyone?

    Well I always pay my bsnl bill online and so far never got any issue. Some times I even paid in the evening of last date.
