I think you may have to set the unit to factory defaults.
After settings again for LAN mode DO NOT press WLAN switch in the rear.

Some WiFi modems similar to Teracom Type II (Syrma AR800V v3.0)has an inbuilt switch for WiFi at the backside. Not sure if Teracom has it. Just check if it is there.

It says there is a WLAN switch at the back, try switching it off. Check if the WLAN lamp is glowing, if not WiFi is disabled.
Too much confused ? Simply log into the modem using 192.168.1.1, go to the " wireless "page and you will find an option to disable WiFi. Check WLAN light in the modem and confirm WiFi is OFF.
If still in doubt, post a screen shot of Wireless page.
