Default Ipad2 and Samsung galaxy connect to wifi but not to internet

I have a BSNL dataone connection, a pronet ADSL 101E/U modem and a pronet PN-108WRT wireless router. A thinkpad laptop is successfully able to connect to the wifi and also to the internet

I recently bought an ipad2 and android samsung galaxy s from the US. These devices successfully 'connect' to the wifi SSID. But if I try to surf the internet, they say 'connection to internet not present'etc. Have scratched and banged my head for a week now

    Can someone please help?

I use bridge mode to connect. Read that the only difference compared to PPCOE is that ppcoe mode directly dials to ISP when modem is switched on. So I guess thats not the problem.

Screenshots of settings attached. I use MAC filtering as my wirless security to eliminate all WEP security problem possibilities. The 3 devices(laptop, phone and ipad2) show up on the list too

    What might the issue be?

    SUMMARY OF SETTINGS

    ALL DEVICES CONNECTED TO ROUTER

    IPAD SHOWS SUCCESSFULLY CONNECTED

    MAC FILTERS OK

Unable to see the attached screen shots. Tried refreshing but still no go. Mind posting them as attachments ?

It proves your WiFi connection settings are well in order.

Have you added the MAC IDs of these two devices to White list ? If no, add them and check.

    If still no go,

    1. Disable encryption and check.

    2. Disable MAC Filter and check.

    3. Reconfigure router and check.

Also WEP is easily crackable, better choose WPA2.

    Feedback.

    That exactly is the problem...

Just change your mode to PPPoE... Enter your authentication credentials in the modem and enable DHCP in your modem and wireless router...

    Hi Dilip

The screesnhots are already attached. They show all the 3 devices in the white list as well as in 'çonnected' state in the router client list

    BSanant
I read that the only difference in bridge vs ppcoe is who dials to the ISP. Why should that make a difference? I ask only because I tried configuring to PPCOE and I was unable to the internet at all. Am not sure what I did wrong. So am trying to avoid PPCOE if possible.

yes. my network is completely naked now. open, no WEP,no MAC filtering...the laptop works, the DHCP clients show the ipad etc..but no internet access...grrrr

i can connect to the router or modem from the ipad browser via the 192.168.1.x addresses. its just the internet thats the proble. i distinctly rememebr this kind of problem occurring when i used to forget to enter the mac addresses of new devices(back in USA)...but right now...i am flustered :-(

sorry. i dont get any alerts when someone updates this thread.

The above does not work :-( Is there any option in India (paid is OK too) to get this done? The computer assemblers i know are mostly self taught ''if nothing works, just reinstall windows'' kinda guys. Is there a way to get trained network professionals to do this job?

I am from Kalyan, a suburb of Mumbai. I can try buying a new router too....but since the laptop connects fine...i am afraid i might be solving the wrong problem
