    Default need help regarding new bsnl broadband connection

    hi all,

    my broadband connection get activated yesterday...my plan is 750 unlimited plan, but my prob is dat my net connection get discconnected regularly and speed is flactuating...dsl line light also starts blinkin when net got dis connected

    SNR (Downstream) 6.55 dB
    Line Attentuation(Downstream) 27.0 dB
    SNR should increase at least to 10 dB. line condition seems accceptable.
    Mine for comparison.
    Downstream Upstream
    SNR Margin 37.0 22.6 db
    Line Attenuation 17.0 12.2 db
    Mention your modem model/make/number.
    Check Phones are connected to ADSL splitter PHONE port only.

    Use short cables.
    If possible change Mod mode to Gdmt. in modem.
    Try google dns 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    As this is a new connection complain to CC Bsnl.

    Contact your line man and ask him to fix the line.

    This may help

    1. Check using a friend's modem at your place and check. Use the same cables, but use his power adapter.

    2. Do you face a power reset ? ie, the power LED goes off ? If yes, try using a different power adapter and check.

    3. Check your modem at your friend's place and see. If it is a modem issue, you will get disconnection with his line too.

    after keepin my phone bsy...snr value becomes constant

    Are you still facing disconnection ?

    I have updated my previous post. Try options 1,2 and 3. Hope you tried the link I gave.

    Kindly ask lineman to change ur splitter .it will surely help you.
