Too costly at the moment. I saw a speedtest.net result for 512 Kbps unlimited plan. It was showing 30 mS. It is also not available everywhere. It is now on pilot project stage and is limited to huge apartments where they can get enough connections. I think it on in Gurgaon, but someone at Bangalore was not able to get it despite being ready to pay the higher price. It will take another six months to one year to get is available all along the A class cities and towns.

The price may come down as it goes on a mass scale. But 512 Kbps unlimited plan costs only around Rs. 850 or something and 1 Mbps unlimited is around Rs. 2,000.

Pshaww. I get 2ms to Youtube imgur: the simple image sharer (server is in Mumbai) and 29ms to my own server (in Gurgaon).

Speedtest.net pings are not too favourable for reasons I'm trying to figure out - I get around 80ms in Mumbai according to the graphic, but my traceroute to speedtestmum2.vodafone.ind.in is currently showing 32ms. I get about 40ms to Delhi for some reason, yet my traceroute to the Delhi server is currently showing 74ms. In both cases the main jump is in Bharti's network (from 3ms at Bharti's border with us to 32ms at the next hop).

Pingtest.net pings to Kathmandu (nearest server) in about 80ms.

Which plan do you use Mathew ? Please mention the rate and speed too. In effect it seems you get around 30mS on normal server (correct me if I am wrong). Or do we get 2 mS on all servers ?
