Thread: BSNL 500 Unlimited with 50KBps (cool story)

hello...

u know, i got the worst download speed from BSNL.
I changed my plan to 500 unlimited from 750 unlimited plan on April 2010.
year completed and still i am running back of lineman and JO to get my problem rectified.
the lineman and JO who are here don't even know the minimum terms.

what should be the download speed of 500 Unlimited plan?

I get only 50KBps.. and mostly i get only 30KBps.
and my friends who are in same plan gets 250KBps. they are not even 100mts far from my home.
Every time i compliant about this problem to lineman, he takes his ladder, checks the poles. after some time he says, i will change the port in exchange. and takes a jumper and punches the port 6 to 7 times and says DONE. who knows what he punches.

I am paying 500 INR to BSNL, and i get only 50kbps download speed.
Even the JO came to my home and checked it. took some screen shots and told i will reply you in 2 days.. after a week completed, i telephoned him to know whats the matter is. He said I got transferred, raise the complaint again to the person who is in charge.

Is this the care given to the customer, for what they are paying?
Is money growing for trees?
How can the BSNL employees that careless?
where should I raise the problem?
I finally landed here, so some one could help me really..

once think as it is your problem, I am getting only 30KBps for what i am paying. and my friends get 250KBps for the same amount.

some one really really kindly please help me.. I am tired about this.

No, the 15 post rule is to deal with spammers who post just to leave links. You can very well give links as you have given now. Embedding your images for other members.

3. And most importantly, there is no plan called 500 unlimited. May be you are referring to BBG FN 500 (now discontinued), BBG FN Combo 500 or BBG FN Combo 600. Do you remember which you filled in the form ? You can also check your bill and update here.

512 Kbps 64 KB/sec (ideal conditions max )
Are you paying Rs 750/PM since then or Rs 500 PM?

Did you check up your plan change details in your selfcare portal ?

actually, it is 750 unlimited. and our lineman said there's a new plan 500, you can change to it and save 250INR. he mentioned it as 500 unlimited. my friends changed to it. after 1 week i changed to that plan. we just mentioned it as 500 unlimited..

Yes, give your district exchange name. Normally it will be your SSA (not always, you can check local BSNL site and confirm your Secondary Switching Area -SSA). Also mention your state (which again in most cases your circle).

i clicked : User Registration(for Existing BSNL Customers). i gave all details correctly.

but it says : Broadband User ID is Invalid or You do not have Active Broadband in Your Service.

You have ignored it for a long time. A visit to exchange will be wise. Go there and ask them to check the current plan in front of you. BSNL staff can use their ID and password and see your usage details and current plan. Confirm your current plan and ask them to show details for that plan in BSNL site. If it is indeed 2 Mbps unlimited (which I doubt), you can ask them to check (talk to SDE or JTO, they will understand these things) your connection. For unlimited plan, your chargeable usage will be zero. If not, please ask their advice on what to do or report the status here.

When you get a new connection, you will be given

It seems you have missed all three. Old users who have BSNL ID as username@dataone.in normally has IP range 59.xx.xx.xx and has a separate usage portal than those with IP range 117.xx.xx.xx. It seems at the present condition you are unable to provide these info. Do get them from your exchange when you get time.

Use the link above (simply click it), you will be able to see your IP. PM it to essbebe or state here whether it starts with 59 or 117.

Have you registered in selfcare portal. I know you are using data.bsnl for checking usage, but it seems data.bsnl users can see their telephone usage details and many other things if registered in sdc portal. Just thought of checking.

I got only conection username and pwd. nothing else.
