Default BSNL users with unlimited plans

I am currently using Airtel's 2 Mbps plan in Bangalore and even when I go over the download limit - which is every month in fact - I still get the same connection speed. Even if it drops down to 256 kBps, it gets back up to 2MBps in a couple of hours every time.

Does this happen on BSNL or do they drop your connection speed without fail when you reach the download limit?

If you get 2 Mbps speed in U/L plan even after crossing FUP limit
    stick to Airtel.

Yes, my friend in Bangalore reports the same, so are many other users. It seems Airtel is giving certain users an unofficial NOC. Consider yourself lucky.

Certainly not. Using BSNL since 2+ years. Tried pure unlimited plans and FUP plans. Speed drops with perfection, won't last even a single MB beyond the limit. Currently using UL 750 which is 512 Kbps unlimited for Rs. 750 per month.

My advice is to stick with Airtel if you are getting good speeds even after FUP. Also BSNL has the worst customer care.

Certainly, if it is giving good speeds post FUP.

I think it is not a bug. Airtel must be knowing about it. Their reps are very active on forums. May be it is only for loyal customers or something. I see a few who are using Airtel since a long time and still using it just because of this non FUP limit. May be that is what Airtel want.
