Thread: New Connection

HI,
I am planning to get a bsnl broadband connection from bsnl.
Need some help with the plan selection,
My basic requirement is gaming and my budget is rs 1000/month.
Please help me choose or are there some other good plans for this purpose....?

I was thinking of combo plan 900 is it good..........?

1. Mention how much data you will need per month.

2. Which games do you play ? What is the speed you will be needing ?

3. Mention the current ISP. Do you have a BSNL land line at the moment ?

BB Home Combo ULD 900 offers 4Mbps upto 8 GB, 256 Kbps beyond 8 GB. Is 8 GB sufficient for you ? Can you manage with 256 Kbps speed afterwards ?

Also BSNL is known for its bad pings. I am not sure how good it will be for multi player online gaming. I myself tried Counter Strike some time ago. Used to get killed even before I could aim. It was a bit better when I host the game.

You can also see if you can afford ULD 1350. It gives 512 Kbps post FUP. This may help

1. Just surfin and 3-4 hrs of gaming per day. Is it sufficient ?

3. Dont have one at the moment.

Actually the landline connection is of my landlord's and i will just be using the broadband n not the phone.

Don't think 8 GB will be enough. You can try ULD 1350 (see if you can afford it) or UL 750. Both will be good.
