Unhappy BSNL Windows 7 Yellow triangle DSL Steady D link - URGENT HELP NEEDED

    Hi,

I am a new user of india broadband. I am with BSNL for more than 3 years.
I have recently upgraded my desktop system to i3 and now have windows 7.
I bought a DLink ADSL Wifi router but i use it with the ethernet cable only.

I had to replace my motherboard & processor last week after which this issue started.

All lights viz Power, LAN & DSL are steady on my router but i get a yellow triangle for network and says no internet access.

Windows 7 troubleshooter says issue with DNS. I made few changes like manually putting the DNS address 208.67.220.220 & 208.67.222.222 in the router page DNS section & few others like ticking bridge

I have resetted the router and also clicked on reset to factory settings on router page... but still get the same error.
I feel i have tried whatever i knew and now need the help from you experts.. I am now lost and feeling sad

i dont know about pinging & all.

    Hoping for the best.

    Sanmukh.

    (a) mention how you connect to Internet now.
    (b) mention the modem/model/make /number you use
    (c) give the same details of the DLink ADSL Wifi router.

    In your computer:

    When connected to internet
    START RUN type cmd OK
    New window
    typeipconfig /all

Copy/Paste all in Note pad. ( tunnel data etc )SAVE.
copy paste ONLY LAN details here.

the Icon near the Loudspeaker shows you are connected in LAN mode.( see picture below )

Now I am using internet at Work.

Model Name : DLink 2750u ADSL+2 Modem router

The similar icon but with a yellow triangle on it - when clicked says no Network2 (no internet access)

I would be able to give those ping details once i reach back home in the evening.

    Check the screen shot

(not allowing the links to other website till I make 15 post)

If status under 0/35 is "ppp down",then it is the problem in exchange(they need to clear the connection with ur port).call them they will rectify it.

if status is "up" then something iswrong with ur adsl setting... try entering the username and password again(I guess u know how to setup adsl setting).

or else try installing the network drivers again from ur mother board cd.

or else call the technician guy he will guide u.

Hope the above info helped. If you are still facing the problem,

Are you able to connect through WiFi ? or any other laptop using the ethernet cable ?

    1. Go to Network and sharing center, post the screen shot (when you can manage). At the top of the page you can see the network connection map. Try troubleshooting after clicking the " X " symbol which shows a break in connection.

    2. Also mention the error you are getting. Which mode are you using ? PPPoE or bridge ? If bridge, delete the dialer, make a new one and try.

    3. Try reinstalling drivers for your network card. Make sure that your network card is compatible with you new motherboard. If not, you may need to replace the network card.

Last but not the least, www.******************* is my site. It will be nice if you can request your network admin to unblock the same as it is just like this site which is meant for tech discussions. Thanks

I spoke to Dlink technical support today.
Sagar, as you correctly mentioned when i go to diagnostics on my router page it says PPP down. I spoke to BSNL guys today and they confirmed that they have reset my connection.

I hope when i go back home this evening it should be working.

Thank you everyone for your contribution. Will let you know if its resolved.

Since WiFi is also not working, it is either a modem issue or BSNL issue.

If you do not get a result, complain here (known for better response)

    The issue is resolved.
Thank you everyone for all the help.
    You should give feedback

    Thanks essbee for feedback.

I wanted to share but i cant determine what solved the problem.
    1) Dlink told me only the steps to configure it manually which i have already done couple of times but I have done that again.

    2) BSNL did reset the BB from their end.

    3) I also found that i was putting wrong username... i was putting "/" instead of "_"

When my PPP server connection showed PAAS but then following three tests viz Authentication with ISP, Pinging primary DNS & IP was showing FAIL. D link guy asked me to check that with BSNL. He confirmed that once authentication succeeds the other two tests should also PAAS.

I changed the username manually. and restarted the router & PC. And it worked.

I also got to know from my friends that BSNL bb was not working for couple of connections in my area.

    Thanks for your feedback.
Many users old as well as new, do not bother to
post the feedback, and some claim "miracle ' cure!
just visit this Forum, post the problem get one or two responses,
and then claim the problem is solved automatically!
( like visits to Dargha/ temples/ saints place etc !!!).

I thought, you will respond in a positive manner, and again many thanks.

Please do not hesitate to visit this forum in future also..
Members will try to help you out to the best of their ability/knowledge. Your experience/comments on Broadband matters and other subjects also welcome.

    Thumbs up

I have used forums before and might have used this one as well. I always get the benefit from old threads.

This was the first time i started a thread & discussed my problem.

I must say that i found it really helpful. Especially for the support.

Its a nice feeling that if i cannot solve it personally coz of my limited knowledge, i have a group of expert who can help me.

I will definitely use it in future and recommend it to my friends.

    You all rock.
    Thanks.
