    Default Multiple bsnl connections created

i have bsnl home 750 plan
    and utstarcom type 2 modem

i am using windows 7 based pc
    when i try to connect
    THIS HAPPENS

1 the networking pane in bottom left shows unidentified network

    failed to connect error 651

    2 i restart the modem
network shown is bsnlbb3 again unable to connect

FINALLY AFTER SWITHCHING OFF AND ON THE MODEM
    3 I GET BSNLBB2

THEN THE CONNECTION IS SUCCESFUL AND IT WORKS FINE FOR HOURS

    SOMETIMES I REPEAT THESE 4 5 TIMES

    till it shows bsnlbb2

i blv either i created multiple connections with same id ansd password

but now they are not visib;le in network and sharing in control panel neither in internet options

thus it takes 5 to 10 minutes to start a connection

once the connection is established it works for hours no problem whatsoever

even the bsnl guys have tried but no solution to this problem

i hope someone here can help me ?????

utstarcom type 2 modem : Mention model number.
Presume set for PPPoE ( always On") mode
( userId/PW stored IN modem wan page )
    2.
    Open Network and sharing center.
    On left menu
    adapter settings.
Delete all except one lan and wifi connection.
System should start automatically and connect to internet.

error 651 due to Dialer Mode you had set up earlier ?
Sometimes System will "HANG" " BUG" in windows 7.

however there are no multiple connections in the adaptor settings

    i am posting the screenshot
plz check and see if u can find solution to this annoying problem
    thanks again for quick reply

i have included the modem model no also in image

i am presently using this connection plz guide me also regarding the lan port lan 1 lan2 ,3,4 in which i should connect this lan

    i disconnected everything when shifting

presently lan cable is in lan2 port
could this be the cause of problem

using only one pc since beginning on this modem......

also i do not use the connection in wi fi ever due to security reasons so u can ignore that ( i have netgear but installed but never use it due to nature of my work)

With almost 1 Lakh hits ( in two years/ two broad forums), i am asked to see the Photo of WA3002-g4 modem/router !

    Check my signature link .

Create PPPoE connection ( enter userid/pw in modem wan page) )

    Delete bsnlbb2 connection.

your lan adapter setting shows"shared" under local area connection which should not be there if you are not sharing your lan for net access to another pc/virtual machine.my guess is this is from where the "network 3" is coming.right click on your "bsnlbb"connection icon in network sharing center & set it as default connection to see if it helps.

    Modem : UTSTARCOM WA3002G4

Use this guide and make sure your settings are fine. I think you are using dialer now. Change to PPPoE mode (use the guide / link below)

    New Page 1

System tray (icons near the clock) > Network and Sharing center > Left side panel > Change adapter settings > Select your local area connection > Right click > Properties > " Sharing " tab > Allow other network users to connect through this computer's internet connection - Uncheck the box and click OK.

You can either disable WiFi or set a password to it according to your choice. You need not worry about misuse of WiFi. There are ways of securing WiFi that even an expert will have to go unsuccessful if he tries to connect through your WiFi.

    @meetdilip
    out of thread:
    first post without any links.
then edit and add the links.
Problem with spam filter in VB.
just try to enter NetworX link . because of the word softperfect
many of my posts have gone for moderation and never appeared here!!
This is quite frustrating if you have given detailed suggestions and because of one or two links, the full post is "lost ".
Your post will not appear here.

    @meetdilip

thanks for the suggestion it worked though with some problems

i followed the steps as mentioned

entered teh user id and password in wan settings page

this created the ALWAYS ON CONNECTION

as the modem is turned on the connection is auto established

however the chrome and ie refused to connect i was confused

windows was saying that u are already connected to internet

checked the bit torrent the torrents were downloading!!!!!!

finally ie 8 started a trouble shooter saying"" dhpc is not enabled""

    ""apply this fix as administrator"

that corrected the browser error too

    i deleted the prev connection

now THE CONNECTION IS WORKING FINE NO NEED TO DIAL TOO...
    THANKS FOR THE HELP
