Hi folks,
I am a newbie to this forum and this is my very first post. So expecting gud n prompt response frm ppl!!
I am planning to put up an internet cafe and for which I need to take a connection. I looked into BSNL broadband plans for multi user and was wondering how do they install it? from wht i've gathered is that they install a router which can be connected to a LAN hub thr which multiple PCs can access the internet!! But my concern is that I want to have a web server based architecture, and I am not sure whether BSNL can enable a proxy server at my end instead of directly connecting it to a router. Can nebody throw some light on it? and can any experienced user tell me howz the performance of BSNL multi user plans??
Also wht burden does a proxy software put on internet bandwidth, ie if I have a connection of 256Kbps and through a web-server I use it to drive 5 machines, then wht will be the individual bandwidths of each on full load?
Plz help....
