Angry BSNL Home plan

Hi :

If Home 250 is my plan, what does it mean;

1) All 24 hours it is open for mailing/chatting/visiing sites?
2) 1 GB limit applicable 4 downloading/uploading?
3) Whole month usage within limit of 1 GB, all i have to pay is Rs. 250 + the applicable taxes?
4) Rs. 0.90 applicable 4 every additional hour usage or something else?
5) Is web cam usage invites some extra load and is payable extra in some way?

Pl. clear my doubts

ya. let me answer them one by one.
1st. ya it is open 24 hours for chat/mails/surfing etc.
2nd. 1 GB limit for download+upload. Dont confuse that the page or any other file u save on ur disk is counted for download limit. everypage u see is counted. actually the limit is the amount of data transfer through ur modem. no matter u save it to ur disk or not.
3rd. yupp...
4th. not for every hour but for every mb whether u download it in 1 hr. or whole month.
0.9rs/mb
5th ya webcam invites too much extra load. u will spend ur limit in very few hours if you see webcams...most probably in 10-15hrs is suffice to burn ur all limit on webcam viewing. the calculation is just a guess. i havent calculated it.

And one piece of advice to reduce ur data limit is always use firewalls like ZA/comdo/kerio.

Hi TheHacker,

Very special id u got.

Thanks for the basics. It is almost clear now. Meanwhile how to do the firewalls?
Can any H/w (like quality modem) help in reducing the data limit?

Best Regards,

I dont think that quality of modem wud help until n unless u hv a 10MBPS lease line

n u can even luk out for a cracked version of zonealarm which m using
