    Default No dsl and internet

    I have been using bsnl 750ul plan for abt 7 mnths. For the past few weeks my modem is not working. landline seems to be alright i can recieve, dial calls, but the problem lies with the modem. DSL light does not glow ,ve tried resetting at the back but it did not work. i complained at the exchange. they changed splitters but it didnt solve my problem .I tried the modem at my frens place the modem worked fine there. Both DSL and internet light glowed. btw im using an ITI modem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Goto Exchange with ur Current modem and tell them to check in ur Current Port
    if its working then some line issue maybe...if its not working in your current port then try in another port maybe it will help

    yes and after change port tell them to reset password

    For the past few weeks my modem is not working
    since modem is working in friend's place may be your bb line is not working.
    make a written complaint & get receipt in your copy from CC)
    mention modem/make/number. Check at Exchange end.
    you will get rebate in modem rent.

    try again in PPPoE always on mode
    Enter userId/PW in wan page of modem.

    need connection status
    or ADSl data showing snr attn etc.
    Post screen shot/s if possible.

    hey dude i do not think snr and attn will up becz if these two are up then his dsl will also up...
    yes if his snr and att is slow then he will face different types of issue but his dsl will at-lest blink for once

    I am connected to Internet and working in wifi mode ! 450TCI.


    I can also post a screen shot showing snr attn values but no
    connection.

    Ill tell u the whole story, we had lightning strike like 3 km away from my place since then the landline was dead. The next day i complained to the bsnl guys .technician came and checked for faults, he told me that he had to change wires to another place coz he didnt get any signal on the previous wire. landline started working well but theres no dsl signal on the modem. Had a doubt that my modem was dead due to lightining but it worked at my frens place. BTW he changed some card on the exchange a few times though it dint work.

    Did you give written complaint ?.
    Make an ONLINE complaint. Mention date BB connection lost.
    At least you should get some rebate.

    just remove the splitter and connect the modem dirctly and check whether DSL is glowing.If glows means problem is with ur splitter.If DSL doesnt glow means aprroach local exchange surely they will help, you

    It is certainly something with the line. Bypass splitter, connect the line that goes to your land line phone directly to the modem and check.

    If it works fine,

    1. Check the line from splitter to modem. Make sure that it is not cut or damaged (mice can do such things, especially if it goes through a concealed path). Simply use another cable and check. Or you can use the cable from splitter to land line phone and see if it is working .

    2. Replace splitter and check.

    Need to be attended at BSNL side. There is nothing much you can do on this. Try talking to JTO or SDE at exchange. A visit in person may help or talk to them over phone.

    Please test yr line with yr friends modem even if dsl unget pl ask the respective exchange to vfy the same at exchange

    Did everything i could, went to the exchange 3 times , no problems there . Tried my frens modem at my place it dint work too. The exchange guy says there's no faulty line coz landline is working well. Im frm sikkim and the guy at the exchange is kinda new to broadband stuff .I mean, he knows to connect stuff but he cant handle the technicalities of Broadband. Im thinking that maybe i need help frm sm J.E. or sm technical guy. BTW i havent paid my bills for the last two mnths , maybe thats the reason?

    condition A: both Telephone connection and BB can work

    Condition B: only telephone connection works BB out of order

    Condition C: BB can work Telephone connection out of order

    Condition D: Both telephone and BB out of order.

    Since your problem Condition B, ask JTO BB to check your connection at Exchange end.

    Or check in your friend's connection in your Usage portal
    My Orders.
    BTW i havent paid my bills for the last two mnths....
    You could have been blocked OUTGOING telephone calls & BB
    for non payment of bills. confirm you can make calls.

    Getting more complicated !!! Visit J.T.O in BB section and settle the matter.

    yes plz check whether able to make outgoing calls from telephone.If yes means book BB complaint by calling 1504(Toll free)

    Finally m online, seems like my port was kaput . The J.E. fixed it. Nyways guys thanks for ur inputs.

    Congrats

    Try a personal visit to exchange in this kind of issues and try talking to someone important. Admin people just make lame excuses and do nothing.
