hiii....i have bsnl type 1 modem and i run 2 comp. with it and now i have buyed a new Samsung tab so now i am planing to buy a new modem which is WiFi n Ethernet to but one of my friend told me that WiFi modem do not work in rain is it so and how much WiFi modem cost

so should i buy the modem or Wireless USB Adapters

Buy the wifi router like Netgear WGR614v9 ( Rs1500/= approx)
or a 3-in 1 (adslmodem+4lan Port +wifi router )
TPlink models widely used now.

USBmodem, will not work for L/L based BB.

which one ? wifi router kept inside the room. Rains will not affect signals Range less than 30 to 50 feet of radius. ( to be used with the adsl modem ).

I use a WiFi modem and rain has no effect on it. It works even when it is raining heavily. It is just like your mobile phone which is also wireless. Does rain has any effect on it ? These are electromagnetic signals which can even travel through vacuum unaffected, so don't worry about rain.

People has many misconceptions about new technologies and tend to interpret in their own way. It just lack of familiarity and the haste to admit that they do not know about these things give birth to such statements. Anyone who used a WiFi modem in his life can tell you that it has nothing to do with rain.

I have a question, if i buy WGR614v9, can i also use it with airtel bb, because i am planning on switching to airtel as soon as it is available in my area.
EDIT: I can use multiple devices on it, right? (like iPad and my Galaxy S2?)
